Peter Dean

Peter Dean is acknowledged as one of the most highly qualified and experienced debt solutions professionals In Scotland – if not the UK. He was born and brought up in the east end of Glasgow. He graduated from Glasgow University with and MA in English Literature, History and Economics and a postgraduate diploma in Accountancy before training as a Chartered Accountant. He started specialising in Corporate Recovery & Insolvency in 1982 with Grant Thornton. He spent two years as a Manager at Arthur Young (now Ernst & Young) before joining Price Waterhouse as a Manager and Senior Manager where he worked throughout the UK on major corporate assignments.
In 1993 he joined Mazars as a Partner and was responsible for a number of specialist assignments including acting as an investigating officer for Companies Investigation Branch of the DTI in respect of companies which were suspected of not trading in the public interest. He also carried out a major Special Compliance Office tax investigation.
In late 2001, he decided to set up his own professional services company – The Carrington Dean Group.
The Carrington Dean Group currently (2012) employs almost 100 members of staff and its operations ( together with its Associated businesses) cover the complete range of debt solutions, financial services and claims management.
Carrington Dean is the largest privately owned and run debt solutions business in Scotland. Peter lives in Glasgow and is married with three children.
